"Things are back to relative normality with full Covid 19 precautions in place. The acquisition of an offshore storage and workspace meaning items can be removed from the vessel to allow easier restoration.
The last few weeks have been taken up with an upgrading of the storage to fit in a kitchen area and getting some hot running water and repairing some roof leaks. Along with this some larger items are now resting and being worked on in a dry warehouse.
The two life boats that have been open to the elements for a number of years now sit in the dry and can be worked on no matter what the weather.
In the coming weeks more of the engines, generators and compressors will be removed from the vessel and find their way to the workrooms.
An extensive photographing and cataloguing of items removed will be undertaken showing them in their current condition and in their renovated condition ready to be reinstated when the vessel is ok for them to be re fitted.
A new workshop has been put together at the site, well lit and tools to dismantle and restore the many Items. Work bench with large Vice and grinders now in position
